Surkhet Cement Project

In order to curtail Cement import from India and other country, it is very important to establish Cement Factory in the country itself based on locally available Lime Stones.

Realizing the necessity of cement production by utilizing the nations own natural resources for economical boom through development activities and industrialization in Nepal, Muktishre Pvt.Ltd  submitted proposal at  Nepal Government, Department of Mines and Geology for installation of  Cement Factory.  Department accepted proposal to install factory at Surkhet District where sufficient lime stones available for the Cement Plant.

The proposed capacity of the plant is 1500 tons per day. Total project cost is about 46 Millions U.S.Dollars.  Preliminary survey works have been completed and the construction of the project work is starting from the end of 2009 and will be completed within 2013.

The factory will generate employment for about 1200 people. This is also the largest Cement project of Nepal as of now.
